Creating your own lane for change.

Leighn was my nickname growing up. My Spanish-speaking friends call me Lei. My full name is Leighna Noelle. And I also answer to Dr. Harrison.

In some instances it's good for us to stay in our own lanes, mind our business, put our heads down and do the work. However, given the current political climate, now is not one of those times: it is most definitely time to change lanes. To be more conscious. More curious. More critical. As a scholar-practitioner-activist, I am dedicated to working for change. This blog details my weekly steps in becoming more active in our governmental processes.

I hope this blog inspires you to become an activist as well — be it at the local, state, or federal level, or even in your own personal and professional relationships. Your life - or mine - may depend on it.

How will you create your own lane for change?
